Communication is a difficult thing to handle. We do it every day, right now that you read this text. It’s trivial and ubiquitous. On the other hand we know: It’s challenging, sometimes dysfunctional. This general statement applies even more to communication between supervisor and doctoral researcher. The experienced meets the inexperienced. And both sides have their own expectations, unfortunately many of them unspoken. The information session addresses the difficulties in this process and helps to better identify the crucial factors for improving communication and avoiding misconception. And therefore to facilitate better and more efficient working and supervision environment.
