After my ICSS Master, I worked in international cooperation for some time as a consultant focusing on Latin America before returning to academia and starting a PhD. I did my research in the area of social-ecological peace and conflict studies investigating environmental conflicts, social cohesion, and social-ecological tipping points in the Southwestern Amazon. Since January 2023, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research and since January 2024 also a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute for Sustainability Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam (RIFS) where I extend my research on topics of conflicts around resources and sustainability as well as general questions around justice and conflict transformation in the social-ecological transformation.
