I study climate because I've always had a deep interest in nature and how humans are affecting our world. My bachelor's degrees are in Chemistry and Environmental Science and Technology, and I chose to study climate in my master's to further understand our changing planet and how we can lessen our impact on climate change. I'm particularly interested in plants and natural landscapes such as forests. I'm doing my thesis in the biology department, where I will be looking at the "Effects of temperature and phosphorous availability on the forest floor functional root traits of mature European beech and sycamore maple."
