Her thesis "Delivering climate action: A qualitative analysis of the Greenpeace Climate and Energy campaign before and after the 2015 Paris Agreement" was supervised by Prof. Dr. Stefan Aykut (Universität Hamburg) and Dr. Lars Günther (Universität Hamburg).
Sara investigated the evolution of the framings and narratives of the Greenpeace Climate and Energy campaign from 1994 to 2021, following the key events in global climate governance in Kyoto and Copenhagen with a major focus on the 2015 Paris Agreement. She reviewed the Annual Reports of Greenpeace International issued in this time frame, giving a perspective on how interconnected and interdependent the discourse and meaning construction, societal changes and the political scene are. She thinks it could be a valuable tool for other organisations and social movements to understand how they could influence and be influenced in turn in the global debate, using the power of language for the greater good.
Future plans: the study of Non-Violent Communication to find a way to effectively influence societal change in her everyday life.
