Energy transition, climate change, food security - in order to solve current and future problems, we need people who can think and work in an interdisciplinary way. The students on our Integrated Climate System Sciences (ICSS) program learn this particularly well. This has been announced by the Stifterverband, which has now awarded the ICSS the MINTchallenge-plus award. The ICSS combines natural science disciplines such as climate physics or geochemistry with climate-related economics and social sciences particularly well and thus supports the development of important specialists in the STEM subjects. The award of 5 000 euros will be used to evaluate the success of the course in order to transfer positive experience to other existing or new courses.
