Doing hard things is easier when we do them together — even online. Join our Deep Work Focus Sessions and make space for what matters to you. We’ll help you ease into concentration, set a small goal, and focus on your own project for 50 minutes. Afterwards, we’ll resurface together and take a moment to acknowledge what we’ve achieved.
We offer the space. You decide what gets done.
Monday–Thursday, 10–11 am
9–26 November

No registration. No preparation. No pressure to perform.
No registration. No preparation. No pressure to perform, or to commit to all of the sessions. Just show up as you are, work on what matters to you, and leave with a small win.
Let’s make a little magic happen — one focus session at a time!
This is a joint offer by Johanna from TRR 181 and Berit from SICSS.
Why are we offering these sessions?
November has traditionally been associated with the idea of writing together. Initiatives such as National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) have inspired people around the world to come together and make progress on their writing projects — one day, one page, one small step at a time.
We want to bring that momentum to your research journey.
Working alongside others can be surprisingly motivating, even online. Seeing other people show up and dedicate time to their projects can make it easier to do the same for your own goal.
Johanna was introduced to this method a couple of years ago and still regularly draws on the power of working alongside others for her own projects. And it’s suitable for any task that benefits from your full attention, not just writing.
We’re excited to share this experience with you. Let's make November a little more magical together!
Hope to see you in one of the sessions!
