Primary research interest
I am interested in climate change mitigation and adaptation, in particular understanding biogeochemical processes in the climate system. In addition, I would like to further investigate extreme weather events and how research can support social and economic adaptation to climate change.
Reason to opt for the ICSS/SICSS
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the Earth's ecosystems. With a background in environmental engineering and a specialisation in environmental risk assessment and technical environmental protection, I am motivated to expand my knowledge of the climate system through the interdisciplinary ICSS Master's program. I believe that combining natural sciences with social and economic perspectives is essential to effectively addressing the climate crisis.
