Background & Primary research interest
I am Greta Flinspach, and with a background in environmental sciences (University Tübingen), I am interested in further delving into the topic of climate sciences.
With a bachelor's degree in natural sciences, I want to explore the social and economic aspects of the topic and how these are intertwined with natural science. In today's world, where the economy and political decisions play a crucial role in our system, interconnectivity and exchange are highly relevant and a knowledge transfer across fields and within society needed.
My research interests are wide-ranging, covering geophysics, glaciology, geosciences and the modelling of marine systems, which is due to my fascination for the complexity of the climate ,and the interior earth system.
Over the next two years, I intend to narrow my focus, while also aiming to identify an integrated, interdisciplinary topic for my thesis.
