We are proud to announce the successful disputation of our SICSS member Aljoscha Minnich. Aljoscha earned the summa cum laude honorary title for his doctoral thesis.
His dissertation “Empirical behavioral economic essays on ambiguity attitudes, incentive effects, and prosociality” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Andreas Lange and Prof. Dr. Moritz Drupp.
Aljoscha has researched various empirical questions in behavioural economics. He studied how incidental emotions affect prosocial behaviour. He also investigated the short- and long-term causal incentive effects of gamification on individual mobility behaviour. He also researched how different types of communication of new information affect ambiguity attitudes towards natural events (temperatures) in a general population sample. Finally, he investigated the differences in ambiguity attitudes between groups and individuals in the gain and loss domain.
Aljoscha was a member of the Chair of Public Economics, Department of Economics at Universität Hamburg.
His future plans?
Aljoscha will start working as a consultant at BSL Transportation Consultants.
