A stay abroad during your Master studies offers you the unique opportunity to acquire intercultural and foreign language skills and to broaden your horizon. You can sharpen your individual profile by studying at a foreign host university. In addition, a stay abroad increases your chances of working in an internationally oriented environment.

Master of Science Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, Lund University, Sweden
Lund University (Lunds Universitet) is a public research university in Sweden and one of northern Europe's oldest universities. The university is located in the city of Lund in the province of Scania, Sweden. It traces its roots back to 1425, when a Franciscan studium generale was founded in Lund. The Master's program in Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science offers a deeper knowledge in working with advanced technical information and complex issues within the area of environmental and climate change. Program contents include:
- Global environments and global cycling
- Climatology and climate change
- Ecosystems analysis
- Biogeophysics
- Methods of environmental analysis
- GIS with a specialisation in environmental issues
- Remote sensing with a specialisation in environmental issues
- Geomorphology

Master of Science Earth and Climate System Science, Hohenheim University, Germany
Founded in 1818, University of Hohenheim is not only engaged in intensive basic research but has traditionally also been committed to developing innovative solutions for some of society's pressing problems. To do so, University of Hohenheim engages in a combination of scientific disciplines that is unique among German universities.
The M.Sc. program Earth and Climate System Science is similar to the M.Sc. ICSS program, but focuses more on Biogeochemistry and climate related Economics and Social Sciences, especially agricultural land use.
