Our Alumni Max Collao, who completed his MSc in Integrated Climate System Science at SICSS, is currently pursuing a Masters in Geoscience at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in the United States. Max's academic journey at MTSU “has been a thrilling journey”, he says, blending fieldwork, laboratory analyses, and insightful lectures.
His Geoscience studies have deepened his understanding of Earth's processes, complementing his previous climate science background.
“This master’s program in Geoscience is such a great complement to my Master’s in Integrated Climate System Science from Universität Hamburg”, he says, “because Climate Science and Geoscience are deeply intertwined disciplines that work together to deepen the understanding of Earth's climate system, past climates, current trends, and future projections, ultimately contributing to informed decision-making and effective climate action.”
Max's vibrant student life at MTSU, including academic involvement and supportive community, has further enriched his experience. With plans for an upcoming internship and prospects of securing a job in the USA post-graduation, Max's academic future is promising as he continues to excel in his studies overseas.
