Primary research interest
My primary research interest is in understanding the physical mechanisms behind
climate change, with a particular focus on environmental tipping points and nonlinear
dynamics in Earth systems. I am especially interested in the use of climate modeling
to identify critical thresholds, simulate future scenarios, and improve predictions of
abrupt or irreversible environmental shifts. I aspire to contribute to scientific efforts
that aim to better understand and quantify the risks associated with planetary-scale
changes, using data-driven and systems-based approaches.
Reason to opt for the ICSS/SICSS
I chose the ICSS program because of its interdisciplinary emphasis on complex
systems and its integration of computational tools with environmental research. I see
it as a unique opportunity to deepen my expertise in climate modeling while gaining
access to leading research groups, laboratories, and international projects. My goal is
to become actively involved in research initiatives that investigate climate instability
and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge on global environmental
change.
