Primary research interest
As my background is a part-time physics bachelor, I am particularly interested in understanding the physics of our climate system and research in this area. I wrote my bachelors thesis about investigation methods of solar cells and I am interested in continuing research in photovoltaics and renewable energy. Apart from that, I am interested in science communication and in how climate protection and sustainability can be incorporated into politics.
Reason to opt for the ICSS/SICSS
Since 2019, I have been part of the climate justice movement Fridays for Future/Students for Future, which has had a significant impact on my personal life and free time. As part of my work for the student council, I have also contributed to developing a sustainability strategy for our university and helped implement the first changes. I now also want to focus my studies on climate sciences to deepen my scientific understanding of the climate system, the climate crisis, and its consequences for our society. I am convinced that our world needs interdisciplinary scientists to combat the climate crisis and adapt to climate change, and I am eager to become one myself and contribute to protecting the human species and other living beings on Earth.
