1. A few sentences about my research interests:
My research interests lie at the intersection of atmospheric science, climate modeling, and sustainable development. I am particularly drawn to understanding how climate systems interact with socio-economic processes, such as how carbon pricing or renewable energy adoption influences both emissions and economic growth in developing regions. I aim to explore data-driven methods and predictive modeling techniques to support more informed climate policies and improve regional climate projections. Additionally, I am interested in investigating cloud microphysics and land-atmosphere interactions to enhance the precision of climate forecasts.
2. My motivation for choosing this program and why you decided to study at ICSS/SICSS:
I chose the MSc program in Integrated Climate System Sciences (ICSS) because of its strong interdisciplinary foundation and focus on integrating physical climate processes with socio-economic dynamics. Having studied Earth Sciences and worked on weather data analysis and sustainability-focused projects, I am eager to deepen my understanding of the climate system using advanced scientific tools. The ICSS program at the University of Hamburg stands out for its hands-on research environment, access to world-class institutions like the Max Planck Institute, and its commitment to training scientists who can bridge the gap between climate research and policy. This approach aligns perfectly with my long-term goal of contributing to sustainable, data-informed climate solutions that address both environmental and human development challenges.
